CANOE TRIPPING IN NORTHERN SASKATCHEWAN
WITH JIM BUCKINGHAM + JIM OLVER
Sunday, June 27th @ 7pm MDT
For more than 40 years, Jim Buckingham has been exploring the endless waterways of Northern Saskatchewan. In this panel discussion Jim and "Bucky" will introduce you to canoe tripping in the Canadian Shield, one of the most extensive wilderness areas in the world. From trip planning and logistics, to camping and paddling the various tributaries of the Churchill, we are thrilled have Bucky join us on CanoeingLive.
CONSERVATION FROM A CANOE
Recorded: Sunday, May 16th @ 7pm MDT
Tina has been a member of the Bow Waters Canoe Club for 15 years and works for Parks Canada Agency in Banff National Park as the Leader of Volunteer Engagement. She lives in Canmore, Alberta, with hubby and two fur-babies, and also loves to hike, bike, and canoe (solo and tandem). She is also the new “captain” of Women Who Paddle, an online community empowering female paddlers.
In her presentation, "CONSERVATION FROM A CANOE" Tina Barzo will give you tips (the dry kind) on river-based Leave No Trace principles and practices; "Clean, Dry, Drain" protocol for paddlers; and "citizen science" to inspire and enable you to help with science, monitoring and research. We are delighted to have her on CanoeingLive.
